ORLANDO, Fla. — UPDATE:
We did it! We hit 70 degrees again on Sunday in Orlando... a reminder that even though it’s technically winter in Florida, the cold snaps never last too long.
We hit 70° today...i.e. so this winter cold snap can be boiled down to: 'two days that didn't hit 70°' #Florida #Orlando pic.twitter.com/CT5jgeif8e

We are tracking another front, but it won’t arrive until 2021. So here’s what to expect as we wait days and days for the front and finish off 2020 in Central Florida on a quiet note.
Tonight will be cool, but not nearly as cold as the past few nights. Many areas will drop into the 40s by morning with areas of fog possible around Marion County.
Well, not as cold tonight, but still cool. I went ahead and turned off my heater. #Florida pic.twitter.com/0ECJNDrFtv

The next few afternoons will be pleasant, maxing out in the 70s, and 80 degree temps will also return by Thursday, the final day of the year.
The next front will be approaching at that point, but it’ll be different than the last few fronts. First, the next front will be weaker, so it won’t cool us down nearly as much as this past weekend. Second, the next front will stall. That’ll give us a two-day stretch of possible off and on rain for Friday and Saturday before the front finally passes.
Almost done with the latest coldsnap, now we're looking ahead to more 80s. #Florida in #December pic.twitter.com/T51N2yGoI0
