A bit more sunshine today, isolated storms likely

Central Florida is expected to see isolated storms as we head into the weekend.

Friday will remain more stable than days past. Mainly in the morning some scattered downpours and afternoon isolated storms. Not everyone will receive rain, but there will be some storms moving across Central Florida during those times. Lightning will be the main threat.

These showers will be courtesy of the last batch of tropical moisture trailing from Tropical Storm Hanna over the Gulf of Mexico. The winds will be from the east-southeast, so the isolated storms that develop in the afternoon will be moving to the west-northwest.

Temps for the weekend will remain in the lower 90s with a 60 percent chance of storms.
