How a Host Home made a difference in one young lady’s life

ORLANDO, Fla. — Not every foster child in Central Florida finds a forever home before they turn 18. After 18, many go to a “Host Home” which is when a volunteer family welcomes a young adult to stay with them while they’re in “extended foster care.”

Today, Channel 9 Anchor Martha Sugalski brings you the story of one child who turned 18 while in foster care, and how a host home made a life changing difference for her.
