ORLANDO, Fla. — WFTV has learned Orange County is trying to get more money from the state just for Casey Anthony's trial.
Florida lawmakers are still trying to trim $4 billion from the budget, but WFTV found out Orange County could get $350,000 to help pay for the case. The money was reportedly requested by the Orange County Clerk of Courts Lydia Gardner.
Records show House Speaker Dean Cannon slipped the request into the budget.
