ORLANDO, Fla. — Orlando police are on the scene of a deadly crash just east of Downtown near Lake Underhill.
Investigators told Eyewitness News that the collision involved two cars and one person was killed.

Officers responded to the crash in the eastbound lanes of SR 408 shortly after 2 a.m. Monday.

Around 3 a.m., police confirmed the closure of all eastbound lanes of SR 408 at S. Crystal Lake Dr.
Crash investigators said they expected to keep the the roadway to shut down for several hours.
As of 7 a.m. Monday, all eastbound traffic was still being forced off SR 408 at the Bumby Ave. exit and onto E. Anderson St.

Orlando police added that the driver of one car suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Orlando police have not yet released the names of those involved in the Monday’s crash.
