BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — Thousands of people flocked to the Kennedy Space Center for a chance to help renovate a Brevard County home getting an extreme makeover.
Show producers from "Extreme Makeover Home Edition" held a pep rally Monday night to prepare to build a brand new home for a Space Coast family.
At the rally, people got the chance to sign up as volunteers for the project. One volunteer told WFTV she has helped on another project for the show and anyone can contribute to the efforts.
"People keep saying online that they don't have any special skills but just coming and sweeping and bringing water to the crew, anything you can do, absolutely helps," said volunteer Margo Nyman.
The project is expected to begin within the next two weeks.
