Time to switch things up? Parents in Orange, Osceola counties face deadline to change how their children learn

Parents in Orange and Osceola counties need to decide if they want to change how their children are learning by Friday.

The school districts are giving families the opportunity to switch things up at the start of the second nine weeks of school.

If a student is in virtual learning and they want to move to face-to-face learning, they can make the switch. Students can also switch from face-to-face learning to virtual learning.

As of last week, 34% of students in Orange County Public Schools are going with face-to-face learning.

The number could soon change if parents make the decision to switch.

The deadline to make the switch is Friday.

Students who make the switch will return to face-to-face learning on Oct. 13.

Osceola County parents need to tell the district by noon Friday.

Orange County parents have until the end of the day to make the decision.
