Elderly Women Robbed By Fake Utility Workers

ORLANDO, Fla. — Investigators have released a composite sketch of a suspected thief who has been posing as a city utility worker to rob elderly women.

Police say the man and a partner robbed at least two elderly women in their homes last month.

Police also have surveillance pictures of a pickup truck they believe the suspects were driving the day they attacked both women.

The first attack was in Orlando on Park Lake Street; the second was on Pender Way in Orange County. Both home invasions happened on October 28th.

Police say the suspects would pretend to check the victims' water meters, then force their way inside.

A few hours later, police believe the same duo robbed 84-year old Zenna Goss. She said the man and his accomplice showed up at her house on Pender Way posing as city utility workers doing work on trees in the area.

"When I went back to my bedroom and my son's bedroom, he had really torn everything up in my son's room," said Goss.

Police hope someone will recognize the person in the sketch and contact them.
