First COVID-19 drive-thru testing site opens in Lake County

LAKE COUNTY, Fla. — Lake County was the latest county in Central Florida to open a coronavirus testing site Friday morning.

The site, located at 3619 Lake Center Drive in Mount Dora, will cost $85 for anyone that wants to be tested. Those who have insurance will pay upfront and be reimbursed later.

The site hopes to administer 500 tests a day.

Coronavirus: Where COVID-19 testing is available in Central Florida

Health officials said that there will be 1 to 3 day turnaround time in receiving results.

Testing will be offered Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Those who come do not need to have symptoms to receive testing.
