LEESBURG, Fla. — Lake County deputies said they arrested a man after they found the remains of two women in a burned-out mobile home.
The fire happened Tuesday morning at a mobile home on East Dale Street in Leesburg.

Investigators said when deputies arrived at the scene, they saw James Porteous walking out of the mobile home as it was burning.
Porteous was detained, questioned and is now facing homicide charges.
At 8:41 am Lake Deputies responded to a call about a shooting on East Dale Street in Leesburg. Once on the scene, deputies say a 57 y/o man was seen coming out of the home, which was on fire. The man is now being questioned and is cooperating with detectives. pic.twitter.com/xwWTEgmUtO

Investigators said they got a call about a shooting in the area, and when they arrived, flames were pouring from the home.
Fire crews later discovered the remains of two women.

So far, officials do not know how they died, and investigators say the fire is suspicious.
Porteous is now being held at the Lake County Jail.
