LEESBURG, Fla. — Lake County deputies said they arrested a man after they found the remains of two women in a burned-out mobile home.
The fire happened Tuesday morning at a mobile home on East Dale Street in Leesburg.

Investigators said when deputies arrived at the scene, they saw James Porteous walking out of the mobile home as it was burning.
Porteous was detained, questioned and is now facing homicide charges.

Investigators said they got a call about a shooting in the area, and when they arrived, flames were pouring from the home.
Fire crews later discovered the remains of two women.

So far, officials do not know how they died, and investigators say the fire is suspicious.
Porteous is now being held at the Lake County Jail.
