Hundreds Walk In Honor of Caylee Anthony

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla.,None — Hundreds of people spent Sunday visiting the site where Caylee Marie Anthony’s remains where found on Suburban Drive in East Orange County.

Nearly 200 also walked through the Anthony’s neighborhood to remember the 2-year old girl. They held signs, made shirts, and even brought gifts to leave at the site.

Eddie Delvalle organized the event because many in the community were furious that a jury found Caylee Anthony's mother, Casey Anthony, not guilty of murder, and was released from the Orange County jail early Sunday morning.

“We don’t have answers, there’s no finality to it. It just keeps it open,” Delvalle said.

Trina Brummett said the lack of closure in the case kept her awake Saturday, and it is why she brought her daughter to Sunday’s memorial on Suburban Drive.

“She walks and her baby’s life is gone, it’s just not fair,” said Brummett.

Delvalle led the group from the toddler’s grave site around the corner to Casey's parents, George and Cindy Anthony’s home, while a handful of Orange County deputies on ATV’s monitored the crowd. Delvalle asked the group to forgive the Anthony’s and to leave them in peace so, maybe, Caylee could find peace too.

Delvalle said he wants to make a permanent memorial for Caylee where her remains were found, that includes a brick walkway that people can get engraved. He doesn’t know yet how long that might take.
