Troopers said they responded to a deadly crash involving a pedestrian Friday morning on International Speedway Boulevard.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — Florida Highway Patrol troopers are investigating a fatal crash that occurred Friday morning on U.S. 92, also known as International Speedway Boulevard, in Daytona Beach.

The crash happened around 7 a.m. at the intersection of U.S. 92 and General Custer Avenue, according to preliminary information from FHP.

Troopers said the crash involved a 2023 Land Rover Range Rover Sport and a pedestrian.

Troopers said the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim’s identity has not yet been released.

Westbound lanes of U.S. 92 are currently blocked in the area of the crash. Drivers should expect delays and seek an alternate route if possible.

Troopers said the crash remains under investigation.
