CHULUOTA, Fla. — A man died in a fiery crash in Chuluota Tuesday night, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
Troopers responded to Brumley Road and White Tail Trail around 10:30 p.m.
At the scene, they determined that the driver of a Porsche Boxster was heading westbound on Brumley Road, lost control at a curve, and traveled off the roadway.
Investigators said the sports car ran into a ditch, struck a tree, and then rolled several times.
Troopers said the driver was able to get out of the Porsche before it erupted in flames.
A passenger was not able to escape the wreckage and died at the crash site, investigators said.
FHP did not release his name but said he was 20 years old and lived in Oviedo.
The driver, also 20, of Winter Springs, was rushed to a hospital; troopers said his injuries weren’t life-threatening.
