19-year-old woman dies after Orange County shooting, deputies say

Investigators are asking anyone with information to contact the sheriff’s office

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — A 19-year-old woman who was shot early Thursday has died, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies identified the victim as Shoumana Abelanda Toutoute.

Deputies responded to the 1800 block of Ole Heritage Drive around 12:55 a.m. Thursday after receiving a report of a shooting. They found Toutoute suffering from a gunshot wound, and she was taken to a hospital in critical condition.

The sheriff’s office later confirmed that she died at the hospital.

Detectives are following leads but are asking the public for help. Deputies said nothing investigators have learned so far indicates that anyone in the home was targeted for violence.
