OCALA, Fla. — Two people died, and another was hospitalized after a two-vehicle crash Tuesday morning in Ocala.
Police said the crash happened at the intersection of SE Maricamp Road and SE 36th Avenue.
The Ocala Police Department responded to the fatal collision, which remains under active investigation.
Officers said the cause of the crash is under investigation.
The collision prompted multiple lane closures in the area.
Eastbound lanes on SE Maricamp Road are blocked at SE 36th Avenue, while all north and south lanes are closed from SE Maricamp Road to SE 31st Street, with the westbound lanes on SE Maricamp Road remain open.
Drivers are asked to avoid the area and use alternate routes.
