PALM BAY, Fla. — Two people were shot Saturday evening at a Palm Bay park as an Easter egg hunt was underway, the Palm Bay Police Department said.
Someone shot into vehicles at Liberty Park near Carlyle Avenue and Hutchins Street SE at about 6 p.m., said police spokeswoman Karyn Barber.
The shooting happened as the Palm Bay Parks and Recreation Department hosted a flashlight Easter egg hunt for children.
“All individuals involved in the community events at the park were unharmed,” Barber said. “The investigation is ongoing.”
Two people arrived at the Palm Bay Hospital with injuries, Barber said.
Their injuries weren’t life-threatening.
No other information was released.
