ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Two University of Central Florida fraternities are being investigated for hazing.
Several men from Delta Upsilon and Kappa Alpha Psi are accused of hazing other members of their fraternity.

Police said two people witnessed members of Kappa Alpha Psi beating each other with canes and weren't sure if it was hazing or acts of stupidity, according to UCF documents.
A witness told the university she saw five people from the Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity participating in what appeared to be an act of hazing at the Riverwind Apartments off Alafaya Trail. She said people were spinning red and white canes, and if someone dropped one, they were beaten with it.
Kappa Alpha Psi hasn't been reinstated at UCF and is in the process of coming back from a national suspension that started in 2008.
Delta Upsilon, which was suspended on an interim basis in February for violating hazing and alcohol related misconduct, is also facing claims of hazing. Pledges said they would have to run until they "threw up."

A letter sent to the fraternity by UCF said a hearing date hasn’t been set, but pledges told police they were harassed and went to Knight's Pub, where they would take shots and other strong drinks, even though they were underage.
Police were made aware of the allegations, but the UCF Office of Student Conduct is investigating.
Students told Channel 9 they have to take an online anti-hazing class as freshmen.
"Basically a mandatory thing you had to do in the beginning of the year before you take your classes
and it basically told you what is hazing, like how to prevent it (and) what to do if you are getting hazed," UCF freshman Jack Sedlak said.
