ORLANDO, Fla. — AAA said Florida gas prices could continue to rise this week after they tied year-high price per gallon rates on Sunday.
The organization said Florida gas prices rose 12 cents last week with the state average hitting $3.58 on Sunday, which ties the highest price of 2023 set in late January.

“It’s possible that retail gas prices could inch up a little more this week before fully adjusting to the moves in the futures market,” said Mark Jenkins, spokesman, AAA - The Auto Club Group.
Jenkins said last week’s price jump was expected after OPEC announced oil production cuts.
