ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — People in two Central Florida counties told Eyewitness News an employee who said she worked at Accurate Pool Solutions took customers money for pool services but didn't always deliver.
Channel 9's Shannon Butler found out the pool company is facing civil lawsuits and possible fraud charges.
Joyce Taylor said she hired Accurate Pool Solutions to clean her pool after people recommended them. Taylor said she hired owner Andrea Anderson on the spot.
“I didn't suspect anything, so I wrote her a check,” Taylor said.
Taylor said Anderson cleaned her pool for several months without a problem, but then one day she was gone.
“I had to pay in advance and she never showed up,” Taylor said.
Taylor said her calls and texts to Anderson have gone unanswered.
Eyewitness News found online good reviews for Anderson, but also dozens of complaints. Some people said they are out only a few dollars, but others claim to have lost more.
One woman sent Eyewitness News her police report where she said she lost $967 for a pool pump paid to Anderson.
Eyewitness News could not find any record that Accurate Pool Solutions is registered with the state. Its website also appeared to be down.
No one answered the number associated with the business.
