Altamonte Springs man wins $2 million lottery jackpot

ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. — A 62-year-old Altamonte Springs man claimed a $2 million Florida Lottery jackpot this week.

Lottery officials said this week that Stanley Johnson claimed the $2 million jackpot from the Jackpot Triple Play drawing held Nov. 22 last year.

Officials said Johnson chose to get his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $1.2 million.

Johnson bought his jackpot-winning Quick Pick ticket from the 7-Eleven, located at 901 W. Highway 436 in Altamonte Springs. The gas station will get a bonus commission of $1,000 for selling the jackpot-winning ticket.
