Big storm system headed to Central Florida this week

ORLANDO, Fla. — A big weather system is headed to Central Florida this week.

Before that system moves in, we’ll have nice weather for Tuesday.

Daytime highs will be in the low to mid-80s.

A system rolling out of Texas will arrive in Central Florida late Wednesday.

The focus of the severe weather is north of us, in North Florida, Georgia and the Carolinas. Isolated severe storms are possible late Wednesday.

Scattered storms will break out Wednesday afternoon and evening. We’ll have gusty winds, and there is a low tornado risk.

The rainy weather will stick around on Thursday, but things will clear out on Friday and into the weekend.

Temperatures will be cooler this weekend, with highs in the 70s.
