• Body of one missing Lake Jesup boater found

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. - The body of Jason Cobb, one of two boaters missing on Lake Jesup since Saturday, has been found, according to Florida Fish and Wildlife officers.

The body of Cobb, 30, was found floating near Bird Island, east of the Lake Jesup Bridge in approximately 6 feet of water, according to officials.

Cobb, of Osteen, and Charles Jackson, 26, of Deltona, were reported missing December 29 after they failed to return home from a fishing trip.

The men's boat was later found on the north shoreline of the lake.

Officers from FWC, deputies from the Seminole and Volusia county sheriff's offices and hundreds of volunteers have been involved in the search since Saturday.

According to investigators, the search for Jackson will continue Thursday.
