Book publisher sues Florida school district over removed books

One of the country’s largest publishers has filed a lawsuit against a Florida school district for pulling certain books.

Penguin-Random-House, and the nonprofit Pen America, are suing the Escambia County school district.

The suit claims removing books about people of color and LGBT people violates the 1st and 14th Amendments.

The publisher wants the books returned to library shelves.
