BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — Brevard County deputies said five people wearing tactical gear to impersonate law enforcement officers shot and killed a man and his dog during a home-invasion robbery.

Investigators said the suspects even had replica sheriff and DEA patches when they shot and killed Matthew Nicol, 25, in his Merritt Island home.
