PALM SPRINGS, Fla. — The PowerBall jackpot has increased to $156 million, just in time for the upcoming drawing on Jan. 14. With the new year underway, new stakes are added to the excitement.
The jackpot-winning ticket was purchased at Publix located at 1700 S Congress Avenue in Palm Springs. In the most recent drawing, there was one second-tier prize winner, and no PowerPlay winners were reported.
In the most recent draw, the winning numbers were 5, 27, 45, 56, 59, along with a PowerBall of four and a PowerPlay of two.
PowerBall drawings take place three times weekly—on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays—with ticket sales closing at 10:00 p.m. ET on these days.
The next drawing is scheduled for Jan. 14, and the jackpot is anticipated to attract considerable excitement.
