Titusville man arrested after shooting at newspaper deliverers, police say

TITUSVILLE, Fla. — A Titusville man was arrested in connection with a shooting that happened early Saturday morning.

Investigators said Mark Taylor, 25, was charged with three felony counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, one felony count of a shooting into an occupied vehicle, loitering and prowling.

Investigators said two women and one juvenile were delivering newspapers in the 4200 block of Tiwa Lane when they drove past Taylor, who was walking on the street.

When the victims rolled down their window, Taylor fired a bullet from a handgun and struck the vehicle, investigators said.

Taylor then fled on foot but was later found at a nearby dock.

No one was injured in the shooting.

Taylor was booked into the Brevard County Jail without bail.
