Camera captures photos of man robbing woman at ATM

PORT ORANGE, Fla. — Police said they are searching for a man who robbed a woman at an ATM in Port Orange.

A surveillance camera captured photos of the man at a SunTrust bank ATM on Nova Road in Volusia County around 7 a.m. Monday.

In the photo, the man was holding what looks like a gun in his right hand and a woman's wallet in his left hand.

Police said the robber got away on foot.

Residents in the area said they were stunned.

"Because I wouldn't want that to happen, especially in the daylight," said a resident who did not want to be identified. "I try to be more alert of what's going on, but it's kind of scary it happened to somebody so local around here."

Police said the man tried to use the woman's debit card at an ATM down the street.
