MAITLAND, Fla. — Channel 9 has learned a Universal Studios worker who portrays Captain America at the park met an underage girl at work who he then sent nude photos, authorities said.
The suspect, 29-year-old James Alton, was arrested after the girl's father tipped them off to the alleged relationship.
"We received a complaint as far as an juvenile receiving some type of inappropriate text messages and pictures from an adult that she had met at a local theme park," said Maitland police Sgt. Louis Grindle.
According to police, the girl's parents contacted them after finding explicit photos of Alton in her cellphone.
"Nude photographs that were sent over through text from an adult to a juvenile," said Grindle.
Investigators said the two met at Universal about three weeks ago and it was only after the young girl posted a picture on a social media website that Alton began texting the revealing pictures of himself in the nude.
"Once the parent of the juvenile realized what the text messages contained and the pictures and things, that is when they notified us," said Grindle.
Alton's roommate told Channel 9 everything is a big misunderstanding.
"It doesn't sound like him at all. He is a pretty good guy," said Alton's roommate, Adam Ring.
Universal Orlando said Alton is no longer employed with them.
