Channel 9 highlights some of Vanessa Echols’ best moments on WFTV

ORLANDO, Fla. — After working together for nearly 30 years, Channel 9 anchor Greg Warmoth is sharing some of his favorite memories with Vanessa Echols.

Echols retired at the end of the 6 o’clock news on Friday.

Rather than being sad, Warmoth wanted to spotlight some of the best on-air moments they shared together.

There are many fond memories from their time together doing the early morning news.

Her smile and good-natured humor were always a bright light for viewers in the morning.

Warmoth said Echols was his rock. And like Channel 9′s viewers, he counted on her.

Both spent more than half their lives sitting inches, and sometime times six feet apart.

Throughout the years, Echols was there anchoring on the major breaking news in Central Florida including tornadoes, fires, hurricanes and the Pulse nightclub tragedy.

Echols has also shared her personal hardships with a fight and victory over cancer.

Vanessa’s last appearance on Channel 9 will be Sunday on Central Florida Spotlight.
