WEST MELBOURNE, Fla. — A security officer at a Brevard County church is facing child pornography charges, police said.

Andrew Leone, 49, was arrested Nov. 24 on 30 counts of possession of material depicting child sexual conduct, promotion of material depicting child sexual conduct and using a computer to seduce, solicit or lure a child, authorities said.

Leone belonged to the security team at Calvary Chapel Melbourne and was listed as a ministry assistant.

Detective Jennifer Graves of the Palm Bay Police Department said church officials were notified by a family member and immediately contacted police to investigate.

Church spokeswoman Melody Glover said Leone has been fired.

Online records show Leone is being held on more than $1 million bail at the Brevard County Jail.
