Community gathers on Trayvon Martin's birthday

MIAMI, Fla. — Friends, family members and others in a south Florida community gathered today to remember Trayvon Martin on what would have been his 19th birthday.

Martin's parents led a peace march in Miami Gardens Saturday.

George Zimmerman shot and killed Martin almost two years ago in Sanford.

Actor Jamie Foxx attended the march and talked to the gathering about reducing crime.

"The blood that flows through America that is from gun violence is mostly African-American, and yet you young black folk sit here mute and don't say [anything] about it," Foxx said.

The actor said protecting children from violence should be the top priority for neighborhoods all over the country.
