Composite sketch released in Kay's jewelry robbery

LAKELAND, Fla. — Police said they're searching for a man who got away with $15,000 in jewelry from a Lakeland jewelry store.

A sketch of the Kay's jewelry store robber was released Wednesday.

The robbery happened Tuesday inside the Lakeland Square Mall.

Witnesses said the robber got into a four-door, beige Nissan Maxima.

Investigators said the robber is described as a light-skinned black man, between 32 to 35 years old, standing at approximately 6 feet 2 inches tall, weighing about 220 pounds, with his greased hair pulled back or braided in a small pony tail. He was wearing a light green polo shirt and khaki pants.
