Cops: Man heard plotting other man's death after pocket-dialing 911

SOUTH FLORIDA — A south Florida man is facing murder charges after authorities said he pocket-dialed 911 and was overheard by dispatchers discussing plans to kill a man.

Investigators said Scott Simon, 24, was heard telling someone that he was going to follow Nicholas Walker home and kill him.

Walker, 33, was shot and killed after leaving a Waffle House in a Buick, following a fight with several men on May 5.

Authorities said they don't believe Simon pulled the trigger, and they were looking for two other suspects.
