DELAND, Fla. — A Volusia County woman was arrested after police said she tried to steal money from a DeLand Walgreen's register.
Investigators said Shanna Ferring was caught on surveillance video snatching money out of the register after pretending to buy something.
Another shopper in the store was able to grab her as she tried to run and forced her back into the store.
Ferring told police she needed the money to feed her cats.
