DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — Daytona State College was placed on lockdown Monday due to a bomb threat, authorities with the school said.
It marks the third time in the past threee weeks that the school had to go into lockdown mode because of bomb threats.
Officials have not released information on what led to the threat, but a spokeswoman for the school said the threat was specific about one of the buildings.
A recent post on the school's Facebook page said, "Daytona Beach Campus has received a specific bomb threat. The college is evacuating Buildings 200, 210 and 340. Classes in these buildings are cancelled tonight. Daytona Beach Police officers are on site, conducting searches of the buildings. Updates will be issued when more information is known."
