DeLand carpet business destroyed in fire

DELAND, Fla. — A carpet business in DeLand was destroyed in a fire early Friday morning.

The fire happened at the Carpet Corner business on Woodland Boulevard near US-92.

The fire marshal is investigating the cause of the blaze.

Firefighters said when they arrived, the power lines were laying on the ground. Officials believe the power lines fell because of the fire.

Duke Energy cut off the power.

No one was inside the building at the time of the fire. No one was injured.
