ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — A shooting along 18th Street left a man dead Friday, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office said.
Deputies responded to the 700-block of 18th Street after getting a 911 call shortly before 8 p.m.
That’s where they found 47-year-old Marlin Fryer with a gunshot wound.

First responders rushed Fryer to ORMC for treatment, but he did not survive.
Sheriff’s officials did not say if they are looking for suspects or mention a possible motive in the case, but noted their investigation is ongoing.
