Police release suspect descriptions in Amscot kidnapping

Orange County and Osceola County deputies are investigating the kidnapping of an Amscot employee who was taken to the store and forced to rob it Sunday morning, and have released information on the two suspects involved.
A family's Sunday morning had just gotten under way inside their Osceola County home, when several men stormed into the family's home around 9 a.m. and tied everyone up, except for one man.

"They forced their way into the home and they were armed," said Twis Lizasuain, of the Osceola County Sheriff's Office.

Investigators said several men had their sights set on one person inside the home off of Oakbrook Court in Kissimmee – the man works at an Orange County check-cashing store.

Deputies told WFTV the suspects tied up everyone in the home and took off with the man.

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla.,None — The man was then driven to the Amscot location at John Young Parkway and Town Center Boulevard by the suspects, according to deputies.

Investigators said the suspects forced the employee to rob the store.

"They entered the location - kind of a dynamic situation - and they fled the location, leaving behind a bag," said Captain Angelo Nieves, of the Orange County Sheriff's Office.

The suspects got away with an undisclosed amount of money. Investigators brought in the bomb squad to check over the bag the suspects left behind.

"They were basically like you can't go in there. There's a bomb threat. Something's happening," said eyewitness Brett Gonzales.

Investigators blew up the bag and said it wasn't a threat. During the investigation at the store, Orange County detectives told Osceola County deputies to head to the home where that worker was kidnapped.

"When we arrived we were able to locate the victims inside the home. They'd indicated they were bound," said Lizasuain.

Investigators said no one inside the home was hurt and neither was the man who was kidnapped.
Detectives have interviewed the manager and his family and they are cooperating with the investigation.

At this time, there does not appear to be a relationship between the manager and the suspects.

Investigators said the suspect in the kidnapping and robbery is still on the run.
Osceola County Sheriff's detectives have released descriptions for two suspects involved in the Amscot incident.
