Deputies: Fatal shooting outside Boardwalk Bowl was over drugs

A 24-year-old man was shot and killed in a shootout outside a popular Orange County bowling alley.

ORLANDO, Fla. — Deputies said a fight over drugs led to a fatal shooting outside a bowling alley parking lot last week.

Two people were arrested and charged with first-degree and attempted murder Wednesday in connection to the shooting.

Witnesses told investigators the young man who died ended up getting shot after he handed over a pound of marijuana to the suspect in the parking lot of Boardwalk Bowl on East Colonial Drive.

Christopher Seda, 24, was killed, and his friend was injured.

Courtney Tillman and Warrick Ross made their first appearances in court Thursday.

Myriam Santos lived next door to Seda.

“He was a great father, great husband. He was all about family,” Santos said.

She considered him a friend and didn’t know the side of Seda that investigators said led to his death.

Court records show one of Seda’s friends received a call from Ross wanting to buy two pounds of marijuana.

That’s when Seda, who has a criminal record involving drugs, got involved.

Seda and his friend agreed to meet Ross and Tillman in the bowling alley parking lot to do the deal.

Once there, witnesses said Tillman got in their car.

After Seda handed over the drugs, reports said Tillman pulled out a gun and a struggle ensued. Both sides started firing, including Ross who was in another car.

Seda died before he made it to the hospital.

“In this era, it’s only going to be old people because the young people are killing each other and it’s sad,” said Santos.

The shootout was captured on surveillance video in the parking lot.

Investigators found 900 grams of marijuana in Seda’s car.

Both suspects are being held in jail on no bond.
