ORANGE CITY, Fla. — Volusia County sheriff's investigators said they are searching for a gunman who shot a 28-year-old Orange City woman.
Authorities said Xiomara Rivera, 28, was dropped off at Florida Hospital Fish Memorial Tuesday night with multiple gunshot wounds.
Rivera was later transferred by ambulance as a trauma alert to Halifax Health Medical Center in Daytona Beach. Her injuries were believed to be non-life-threatening.
Detectives said Rivera gave investigators conflicting information about how she was shot. Investigators said when Rivera told them the shooting happened in Deltona.
Investigators are speaking with witnesses and family members to try to confirm the circumstances of the shooting.
