ORLANDO, Fla. — Parents of students at Lake Nona High School had to learn new drop-off locations Monday morning.
One location is at the main entrance and the other is at the gym. The new drop-off spots have been added to help ease congestion, school officials said.
Eyewitness News has reported before that parents were dropping off their children in the middle of busy Narcoosee Road, which troopers said is dangerous and illegal.
The only previous point of entry for staff and students was at the school's main entrance on Tyson Road.
School leaders told Eyewitness News that they’ll try the new drop-off locations for two weeks to see if it alleviates congestion and reduces illegal drop-offs.
"It is probably the best way to go about it," motorist Connie Sprinkel said. "See if it works, and then make your decisions from there."
