The estranged wife of quadruple amputee Sean Petrozzino, the man who was named a person of interest after his parents were found slain in Orange County, has opened up about her relationship with her husband on Facebook.
On Wednesday detectives confirmed that Petrozzino killed himself during a traffic stop in Memphis Monday night. Investigators had been searching for him since his parents Michael and Nancy Petrozzino were found dead in their east Orange County home last week.
Cindi Petrozzino posted a long tribute to her late husband in a Facebook group called Remembering Sean Petrozzino.
In the post she said she wanted people to remember and share the good times she had with her estranged husband.
Cindi Petrozzino talked about how the two met in high school in South Florida and started dating. The couple married in 2010 but separated earlier this year.
She doesn't specifically talk about whether her in-laws and husband had any issues prior to the slayings, but she said she couldn't imagine "in a million years" that all three would end up dead after their recent breakup.
The bodies of Nancy Petrozzino, 64, and Michael Petrozzino, 63, were found Nov. 4 after deputies went to their house on Heming Way in the Andover Cay subdivision south of Curry Ford Road to do a well-being check when Nancy Petrozzino didn't show up for work, authorities said.
Sean Petrozzino was named a person of interest in the case the following day.
On Monday night, Memphis police pulled over a car driven by Sean Petrozzino for a traffic infraction. According to police, as officers approached the car he shot himself in the head and was pronounced dead at the scene.
