Investigators say someone went onto the couple’s property on Chelsey Ave. and wrote “NO” on the flag with a black, permanent marker.
Capri says Eustis detectives were back in the neighborhood Tuesday morning canvassing the area for witnesses or security camera video, but they haven’t been able to find any so far.

They’re hopeful someone will come forward and identify the person or people responsible.

“We will not tolerate any kind of hate in our community,” Capri said during a press conference Tuesday. “We will only tolerate love.”
The Chief says his officers have also stepped up patrols in the area to keep an eye out for any suspicious activity as Capri expects whoever was responsible to likely try it again.
