‘Everybody was frantic’: Gunfire erupts at busy east Orange County shopping center

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Gunfire broke out Wednesday afternoon at a busy shopping plaza, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office said.

Deputies were called shortly before 1:30 p.m. to South Chickasaw Trail and Curry Ford Road.

Although no one was shot, a nearby business had broken glass from the shooting.

Witnesses told Channel 9 that they saw an armed person in the parking lot of a BP gas station shoot five times toward a barber shop.
