ORLANDO, Fla. — Florida Highway Patrol troopers are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash in Orange County.
Trooper said the crash happened at about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday on State Road 520 and State Road 50 in the Christmas area.
The driver of the scooter, Lazaro Adorno-Morales, 20, was riding eastbound on State Road 50 when he was hit.
He was not wearing a helmet, troopers said.
The man was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center where he died.
Witnesses told investigators that vehicle that hit Adorno-Morales, a light-colored SUV, never slowed as it approached from behind.
The vehicle was last seen heading eastbound on State Road 50, troopers said.
