TAMPA, Fla. — A fire caused significant damage at a Tampa hotel late Thursday.
Fire crews were called out to the Marriott Waterside Hotel and Marina shortly after 8 p.m.

Firefighters said the blaze started while crews were on the roof doing construction work.
Hundreds of guests were evacuated, but no one was hurt.

The fire was extinguished, but the cause has not been determined.
