BUNNELL, Fla. — An American Airlines flight attendant accused of using her travel benefits to help scam a 75-year-old Palm Coast woman was arrested at Miami International Airport, according to the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office.
Destiny Blake, 24, of Brooklyn, was taken into custody by U.S. Customs and Border Protection on a Flagler County warrant after arriving on an international flight.
Investigators said the scam began in November 2025 when a caller claiming to represent Publishers Clearing House told the woman she had won a prize but needed to send money to collect it.
Detectives said Blake received $14,220 in cash and Zelle payments. She allegedly flew standby to Daytona Beach using her employee benefits, then took an Uber to the woman’s home in Palm Coast.
Investigators also linked Blake to 88 credit card charges totaling $10,590.30, including electronics, clothing, rides and food deliveries. Authorities said online orders, surveillance footage and phone-location records connected her to the purchases.
The woman lost approximately $25,310, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Blake faces fraud, identity theft and grand theft charges. She was booked into the Miami-Dade County jail and later released on a $30,000 bond. The charges are allegations, not findings of guilt.
Anyone who believes they had similar financial contact with Blake is asked to call the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office at 386-313-4911.
