Florida reports more than 1 million people fully vaccinated against COVID-19

ORLANDO, Fla. — The Florida Department of Health reported Saturday that 1,028,315 people now are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in the state.

This comes after 65,311 more people received a second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine since Friday, state records show.

Florida has administered a total of 3,322,198 COVID-19 vaccines in the state.

State health officials also reported 7,515 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday.

Of the new cases, 1,641 were in Central Florida. Orange County reported the most with 470.

State records show 1,821,937 COVID-19 cases have been recorded in the state since the start of the pandemic.

Health officials also reported 118 new virus-related deaths on Saturday. Thirty-two were in Central Florida.

Lake County reported 13 new COVID-19-related deaths since Friday.

State records show 29,179 people have died in Florida from coronavirus complications.
