ORLANDO, Fla. — The Florida Department of Health reported 3,987 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday.
This daily total is less than the 5,105 cases reported Saturday and 5,140 added Sunday.
Of the new cases added Sunday, 919 were in Central Florida. Orange County reported the most cases with 312.

Records show 2,008,349 COVID-19 cases have been reported in Florida since the start of the pandemic.
State health officials also reported 32 new virus-related deaths on Sunday, including three people who were not Florida residents.
Of the new deaths reported, three were in Central Florida. Marion, Lake and Sumter counties all reported one new COVID-19 death since Saturday.
Records show 33,369 people have died in Florida since the start of the pandemic.

Vaccination efforts also continue across the state.
Florida has administered 7,349,363 COVID-19 vaccine doses.
A total of 4,819,429 people have received either one of two vaccine shots in the state.
