Florida sets new COVID-19 daily case record with more than 4K new cases

ORLANDO, Fla. — The Florida Department of Health reported more than 4,000 new COVID-19 cases since Friday, setting the record for the most cases reported in the state in one day.

Florida health officials reported 4,049 new cases of the virus Saturday as well as 40 deaths across the state.

Saturday’s numbers bring the total number of cases in the state to 93,797 and the death toll to 3,144.

Orange: 4,569 (+295 new cases since Friday)

Osceola: 1,007 (+47 new cases since Friday)

Seminole: 1,189 (+88 new cases since Friday)

Volusia: 1,168 (+51 new cases since Friday)

Brevard: 817 (+69 new cases since Friday)

Flagler: 224 (+8 new cases since Friday)

Lake: 671 (+25 new cases since Friday)

Marion: 389 (+24 new cases since Friday)

Sumter: 282 (+5 new cases since Friday)

Polk: 1,970 (+114 new cases since Friday)
